Saint Brigid Activity
Saint Brigid was a nun who built Ireland's first Christian religious community of women, which educated girls and cared for the sick. Saint Brigid traveled throughout Ireland building convent schools and hospitals. She is remembered for making a small cross made from tall grasses to teach others about Jesus. On her feast day in Ireland, people weave crosses from tall grasses and put them in their homes to keep them safe.
